The information technology (IT) is very important to the complete operation of a successful integration of the logistic network created. We have always kept in mind during the development and framework of our logistic systems that in the secondary process of the material flow of goods within the hospital the flow of information & data precede the performance flow. The indemnification and security of the supply chain relies on the effectiveness of the ERP System, the modules, the financial book keeping, the MAWI and stores and their ability to communicate with one another.

JANO°MED AG has developed a software solution in past years to enable the information of the consumption of each pre determined cost centres from the stores to be passed onto the customer in the form of an ASCII file direct into the ERP system. In addition interfaces were provided from JANO°MED AG to guarantee a fast exchange of data between the Jano°med logistics software and the established ERP system within the hospital or clinic concerned.

The following systems have been integrated for example; SAP R/3, Laufenberg, GWI, SMS-DATA-Plan. This enables us dependant on the wishes of our customer to initialise performance components such as;

• Utilisation of an internet based ordering catalogue
• Analysis of expenditure related to each cost centre
• ABC analysis of the complete hospital
• Administration of charges for the medical products
• Computer supported ordering from each cost centre
• Computerised ordering between the logistic centre and suppliers
